Finding something teenagers actually want to do is not always easy. They are too old for play centres and often too young for most of what adults do. This guide gives you activity ideas for teenagers in Stockholm, with friends and with family, and what applies to players under 18 at Questrooms on Södermalm.
What do teenagers want to do?
What usually works is an activity where they get to do something themselves, ideally with friends, with a bit of excitement or competition. Classic choices in Stockholm are cinema, bowling, climbing gyms, swimming pools and arcades. Here are more ideas.
Horror for ages 13–17
Horror Escape TEENS is the teen version of our horror room. It has the same kind of puzzles as the adult version but is less scary, with more light and fewer sound effects. The room takes 3–6 players and requires parental consent.
VR for teenagers
No VR experience is needed, and the headsets fit over most glasses.
- 13+: Cyberpunk VR, a data heist in a future ruled by corporations, and the Dream Hackers saga, which mixes puzzles and action.
- 12+: Escape the Worlds, a series of several worlds with adjustable difficulty, Frozen Castle VR, and Sanctum VR for those who want a bit of horror atmosphere.
- 15+: House of Fear 2 VR and Prison Escape VR for older teens.
If they are 7–10 friends, they can play BACK-TO-BACK, two connected VR rooms, together or team against team.
A classic escape room
Russian Mafia is a crime story set in 90s Russia, with no horror but tricky puzzles. It suits teens who like solving problems.
Out in the city
- Operation Mindfall (16+): an augmented reality spy game on the streets of SoFo, with a difficulty of 4 out of 5.
- Magic Portal (8+): a beginner-friendly AR mission on Södermalm, good for siblings of different ages.
Rules for players under 18
- Under 13: at least one adult in the room.
- Under 18: at least one responsible adult on site. Waiting in the reception is fine.
- Horror Escape TEENS: parental consent is required.
Teen birthdays and get-togethers
An activity works well as a teen birthday party: the game first, then pizza or fika. If there are many of them, they can split across two rooms playing at the same time, or play BACK-TO-BACK. Get in touch through private events for larger groups.
For schools and clubs
Is a class or club coming? See school trips to Stockholm and the school classes page.
Price and booking
The price depends on how many they are, and the more players, the lower the price per person. Teens aged 13–17 get 15% off. You see the current price when you book an escape room or a VR escape room.
