Celebrating a Finished Project With Your Team

When a project is done, many teams move straight on to the next one. Stopping to celebrate gives the team a clear ending, and a chance to spend time together without a deadline.

When a project is done, many teams move straight on to the next one. Stopping to celebrate gives the team a clear ending, and a chance to spend time together without a deadline. This guide gives you ideas for celebrating a finished project in Stockholm, from a short activity after work to a bigger wrap-up for the whole department.

Why celebrate a finished project?

  • It marks an ending. The team gets to feel the work is done before the next thing starts.
  • It recognises everyone who contributed, including people who worked in the background.
  • It gives time to be together without an agenda.

Ideas for the project wrap-up

An hour in an escape room One room takes 2–6 players, and the team has 60 minutes. It suits a smaller project team. Russian Mafia suits teams who like tricky puzzles, Horror Escape teams who want adrenaline (18+ recommended, minimum 3 players).

VR, team against team With BACK-TO-BACK, two VR rooms connect. Up to 10 players play the same mission, together or in two teams.

The whole department For 8–44 people there are packages where teams play at the same time or in rounds with fika in the lounge. For 19–500 people, we bring the AR game Quest-to-Go to your office.

Out in the city Operation Mindfall is an AR spy mission on the streets of SoFo, 16+. A good way to get away from screens after a long project.

A plan for the wrap-up

  1. A short look back at the project, ideally at the office.
  2. The activity, up to 60 minutes for an escape room or VR game.
  3. Hang out in the lounge. At Questrooms you can rent the lounge after the game.
  4. Dinner in SoFo or on Södermalm, within walking distance of Kocksgatan 21A.

Game first, toast after. Questrooms has a zero-tolerance policy on alcohol and drugs.

Tips

  • Invite everyone who contributed, including colleagues from other teams.
  • Pick a time that suits everyone, for example straight after work.
  • Keep it simple. An hour of play and a dinner is often enough.
  • Think about language. The briefing is given in English or Swedish.

More celebration ideas are in corporate events in Stockholm and celebrating a sales kick-off or launch.
